Tomas Snyder

Staff Hydrogeologist

Tomas Snyder holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he gained hands-on experience with geophysical methods to map water table topography and characterize confining units. He earned his master’s degree in hydrology with an emphasis in geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines in 2024. His graduate research focused on the application and development of distributed magnetic sensing (DMS), a novel geophysical technology.

Through his research, Mr. Snyder developed expertise in field geophysics and the interpretation of geophysical data in hydrogeologic contexts. He also honed his skills in Python, including computational model development and data analysis. Between his undergraduate and graduate studies, he worked as a technical writer at IDEX – Advanced Thin Films, further strengthening his ability to communicate complex technical concepts. His combined experience in research, fieldwork, data analysis, and technical communication makes him a well-rounded and versatile professional.
